Job Description
The Associate Consultant’s role is to contribute to the effective management of bids, account plans, projects, and/or client engagements by conducting targeted research and analysis. This is typically the level for an experienced analyst who is able to work with limited supervision and on their own initiative. Work will be defined, assigned, and then reviewed by a more experienced colleague. The focus is on client delivery and supporting others as part of a team. At this level, there may be direct interaction with clients, but the bulk of the work will be desk- or office-based. Some analytical support may be focused on business development, but this is not a major area of responsibility.
- Deliver high-quality work that meets expectations for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness.
- Work effectively with team members to collaborate and share information efficiently. This includes organizing your work activities to align with the plan.
- Provide information or data to external clients as previously specified by a more senior colleague.
- Share transactional information, answer basic questions about data or reports, and share and request data. Escalate client requests appropriately to help manage expectations and strengthen the relationship.
- Support the business development efforts of senior colleagues. This will include participating in client calls and meetings and preparing initial drafts for sections of proposals.
Experience & Qualifications
- Typically, a relevant bachelor’s degree.
- Previous relevant work experience is required.
- Skilled in understanding and applying standard solutions and product offerings relevant to a service line or area of expertise.
- Knows how to identify and apply the tools, techniques, or procedures appropriate for the assigned work.
- Understands and recognizes similarities between the client's business and other clients or organizations within its industry.
